Our condolences to the family of Robert W. Smith, composer, who closed his circle of life today 9.21.2023.
In 2012, he joined us, a talented clinician inspiring our band camp musicians.
He wrote Earhart, Sounds of Courage for us, a commissioned work.
We performed it this year at Symphony Hall July 22, 2023. His legacy will live on in his music. His works, so accessible and thrilling, will continuing to excite generations of young musicians to come.
